Edouard Pliner is a figure skating coaching, who is currently living in Acton, Massachusetts, USA. He was born in June 13, 1936 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He started skating at 14 years old.


  • Winner of the Kirov Cup, named after Panin the champion of Moscow
  • Repeated silver medalist in Russia
  • Participated in many international competitions
  • A master of figure skating USSR from 1953 to 1961 
  • A member of the USSR national team
  • Graduated from the State Central Institute of Physical Culture (GTSOLIFK) in 1959 and was appointed coach of the USSR State
  • Awarded honorary IPSU (International Professional Skating Union)

Over the years he has trained many champions of the USSR and the winners of many international competitions. The best known of them:

From 1991 to 1992, he worked as a visiting skating coach in Austria, Holland, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Germany, and many other countries. Since 1993, he has been coaching at the Colonial Figure Skating Club (CFSC) in Acton, Massachusetts, USA.
